I heard that Dosbox Turb was better for fallout 1. 2 I have fiddled with the settings a bit but it hasn’t fixed the sound. I would like some help with the sound tweaking if you want to have a go. I have found that the sound emulation isn’t very good for multiple sounds.

The pinch zoom controls are nice and smooth on a tablet even a Phablet(My Note2) does aright if you turn down the touchscreen sensitivity. You can adjust the sensitivity from the Gear icon, then the three lines in the upper left.

    Yeah, except you don't just install those apps and press play. First of all they don't come with the game data except for star control, and residual and gemrb are quite a bit like the software you're talking about and require jumping through a few hoops to get running. Fallout 1/2, Diablo1 will run for sure but I haven't tested many games. My goal was to make Fallout playable for all Android users. If this method doesn't work you could also try using the DosBox Turbo Method. You can open the hl.img and just put other games in place
